I’m curious of where this believe comes from, people generalize from their own experience, and this generalization has only one sample data. This is obviously not true.
Bullies are not fearless, probably bullies are the most afraid people of all. I observed the “strong with the weak, and weak with the strong” behavior on them. There is always someone bigger, stronger or smarter than them, and they find it fast and they stop(with them, not with the easy prey).
In fact I will say that it was precisely fear what use to make a bully.
Scientist found some people were statistically never robed, or attacked, and other people were like magnets for robberies and attacks, even going to the same places or having the same body characteristics. When they studied they found a significant difference: Body language. The people non affected were confident and their body will communicate it without them even realizing with their movements(you move different when you are relaxed or anxious, when you feel strong or weak, when you are healthy or ill. It makes sense, in nature lions pick their victims first with the ill). On the other hand those people afraid , anxious were communicating that they were weak, or “prey”.
The experiment went further, they took people from jail and put them videos of those people and asked them witch one they would steal from.They choose the non confident ones. When asked, they didn’t knew why, they just knew.
