To launch FON in a country we need a local web site, an e commerce platform, a local blog, a round of press/bloggers conferences that I attend explaining what FON is and lastly a compelling offer for the social router, say around 10 euros. We are getting ready to launch in India and are interested in finding a techie/blogger who can help us set the site in India, build the e commerce platforms so we send our routers from Taiwan and the payments platforms in India. If anyone has candidates pls refer them to me. In other countries we manage with teams of 3 people. We need to build such team in India. The don´t advertise at FON, our key expenditure is the subsidy on the routers to get many FONeros.

Hi Martin,

I had heard about Fon since a while but it is recently through Aula website I came to know what you are doing very and your work is absolutely fascinating 🙂

I am more than willing to help you in any way that I can.

I am bootstrapper/entreprenuer myself and am trying to build mobile products. Since I am working on my startup/development I shall not be be able to spend a lot of time doing development myself but I shall be able to find you some one else help regarding that.

I helped start the barcamp initiative in hyderabad(, helped launch/start first Mobile Monday(Bangalore) chapter in India.

Now with the big success of barcamp hyderabad we have announced barcamp hyderabad 2 where the thems is going to be mobile. I think it would be an good forum for you to discuss/release FON in India.

You can learn about me here
