And I don´t really want to know what people are doing. I use Twitter to share my thoughts. And I would only want to hear about some people´s thoughts. What follows is an example of what I twitter.

Frustrating…twitter is blocked here in UAE.
Like many other websites, the government of the Emirates controls what people should and or shouldn’t access.
Great.

Fabian, I guess why the UAE government blocks twitter is because folks can use it as Martin does – to share their thoughts.

Michael, sorry for my delayed reaction to your comment.
Yes, you are right, the government here controls what people can and cannot look at.
Not only porn or gambling is blocked, but sites with a political view, some religious sites and anything that might sound anti-Muslim, is sooner or later detected and blocked by the local authorities.
Sad.

No worries. ~100% of people on Twitter misuse it.

I’m sure “What are you doing?” was simpy an incentive. It’s not a contract. As long as your twits are in the same note as “if speeding is dealt with fines so should illegal downloads”, I’m going to be following. I’m myself trying to keep twits relevant. I don’t expect my friends to take any of the “I’m feeding the cat” crap.
