Getgspace Not Gspace
Published by MartinVarsavsky.net in Fon with No Comments
Gspace is a great Firefox extension that we offer that stores your files on the internet using the storage capabilities of Gmail. The problem is that we can´t get the domain www.gspace.com from the pornographers who own it. Sorry!! We tried. But in any case after the pornographic detour if you go to www.getgspace.com you will find us.

Currently, files are transferred through the HTTP protocol.

Martin,
The “competition for PDA friendly FON”: I suppose you want me to sum up the ingredients that are suited for competition?
I could elaborate (just ask, I’ll mail), but you could think of both technical components (browser/pda recognition) as artwork (small footprint graphics) as site-logic (navigation).
I will not compete myself, but for instance on the FON board some people already made propositions way back!
FON would really improve if it had a site that fits small portable devices, don’t you think..

Suggestion:
Start a competition to find a better name. Of course the winning name must be free to register.
While you are at it: start a competition for a usable interface for pda’s as well…., it saves hiring competent people.
