{"id":662,"date":"2007-02-15T21:06:57","date_gmt":"2007-02-15T19:06:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.168.1.2\/en\/?p=662"},"modified":"2007-02-15T21:06:57","modified_gmt":"2007-02-15T19:06:57","slug":"creative-commons-licenses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.martinvarsavsky.net\/?p=662","title":{"rendered":"Creative Commons Licenses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week I had a very good talk with my friend Joichi Ito, who Chairs <a href=\"http:\/\/creativecommons.org\">Creative Commons<\/a>, at the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.martinvarsavsky.net\/fon\/this-tuesday-fon-will-be-a-year-old.html\">FON Party<\/a>.  Creative Commons is addressing a great need that many of us have.  Before Creative Commons, copyright belonged to a corporation or copy was not protected and then there was no control to what happened to it and no attribution. Creative Commons filled a niche in between.  <\/p>\n<p>Here\u00b4s an example of CC use that concerns me.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsiervos.com\/archivo\/general\/wicho.html\">Wicho<\/a>, a top Spanish blogger and photographer, took this picture of me at a conference.  Computer World of Denmark was writing an article about FON and they took the picture from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/wicho\/390584503\/\">Flickr<\/a>, because it was under CC license.  In this way we all benefit.  The magazine did not have to send a photographer to Spain, I am in the cover of Computer World, and Whicho got to do a cover and got the credit (thanks <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsiervos.com\/archivo\/general\/alvy.html\">Alvy<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsiervos.com\">Microsiervos<\/a> for the link).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"danish.JPG\" src=\"https:\/\/english.martinvarsavsky.net\/danish.JPG\" width=\"265\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<div id=\"mainphotoarea\"><\/div><div class=\"theme-buttons\"><div class=\"fb-like\" data-href=\"https:\/\/english.martinvarsavsky.net\/?p=662\" data-send=\"false\" data-layout=\"box_count\" data-width=\"71\" data-show-faces=\"false\" data-font=\"arial\" data-locale=\"en_US\"><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week I had a very good talk with my friend Joichi Ito, who Chairs Creative Commons, at the FON Party.
