I know in Germany there are also characters that are meant to scare children into good behavior, like a bad Santa helper that punishes bad kids, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Knecht_Ruprecht\">Knecht Ruprecht<\/a>, or long nailed <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Struwwelpeter\">Struwwelpeter<\/a>.
