Earlier this weekend, on Friday night, James P. Clark (Chairman of the World Technology Network) and Daniel Sieberg (Host of \u201cNext@CNN TV show), announced in San Francisco that FON has won the award in the category \u201cCommunications Technology &#8211; Corporate\u201d. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wtn.net\/2006\/summit\/finalists.html\">The World Technology Award <\/a> goes each year to the most innovative people and organizations in the science and technology world. <\/p>\n<p>Given that my son Leo was born I could not be there personally to represent FON, but we are very proud at FON to receive this distinction that goes to all the people who are working so hard every day to make FON the largest WiFi network in the world by far!<\/p>\n<div id=\"mainphotoarea\"><\/div><div class=\"theme-buttons\"><div class=\"fb-like\" data-href=\"https:\/\/english.martinvarsavsky.net\/?p=505\" data-send=\"false\" data-layout=\"box_count\" data-width=\"71\" data-show-faces=\"false\" data-font=\"arial\" data-locale=\"en_US\"><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This has been a weekend of good news for me, personally and professionally.
