FON won the “Most Innovative Mobile Product” prize given out in Sweden, because we made Lund the first FON town!<\/p>\n

This is an award presented every year to companies operating within the Swedish mobile industry. Among hundreds of incoming suggestions, an esteemed jury chooses the award winners in different categories and this year the winner in the category \u201cMobile initiative of the year\u201d went to FON.

\nThe jury motivation<\/a> for awarding FON was: “FON defines and creates a grass root movement that many have talked about but few have delivered upon. The company is not only an exciting project but also an important contribution to the debate about the future of the mobile society. It is also a genius system with a global community where users share wireless internet access with each other”.<\/p>\n

FON very much wants to thank Jonas Birgersson and his company Labs2, who partnered with us in this wonderful initiative. <\/p>\n
