Sonico helps users connect with their real friends, share photos and videos and other information, with a focus on security and privacy.<\/p>\n<p>Sonico announced today a $4.3 million Series A financing round, led by DN Capital and by investors such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fabricegrinda.com\/\">Fabrice Grinda<\/a> (founder of Aucland, Zingy.com and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.olx.com\/\">OLX<\/a>), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alecoxenford.com\/\">Alec Oxenford<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.deremate.com\/\">DeRemate<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.olx.com\/\">OLX<\/a>) and myself.<\/p>\n<p>Rodrigo Teijeiro, Sonico&#8217;s founder and fellow from Argentine, is leading an amazing team of more then 90 people, that in the last few years have built great products like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flodeo.com\/\">Flodeo<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/cumplealerta.sonico.com\/\"><span class=\"trebuchet13\">cumplealerta<\/span><\/a>, and now <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sonico.com\/\">Sonico<\/a>, capable of attracting millions of users at a rate that only Facebook could match, although not in Latin America, where Sonico is generally growing faster, also competing with <span class=\"trebuchet13\">MySpace, Hi5 and Orkut<\/span>.
