Tom and Martin Varsavsky at DLD
Tom will be a speaker at a conference again, this time at DLD. What first seemed to be a crazy idea of my dearest friend Ola, who had the idea to put Tom in front of an audience of 300 people at SIME in Denmark, and later at SIME in Stockholm (first time Tom and I were speakers at the same conference, but Tom was clearly the star :)), now continues in Munich at DLD ‘08. Rupert Schaefer, who organizes DLD, listened to Tom at SIME and asked me to bring him to DLD, Europe’s most important conference on Internet.
I am already known as “Tom’s father” in the Internet world, something that makes me feel proud rather than “dethroned”. People who do not have kids feel that children take their place in time. I feel the contrary: thanks to our kids we find our place in this world.
