Tim Bucher: the wine maestro

Ok, I know little about wines and yesterday was my first day ever in the wine country (yes, friends in the area can´t believe that I had never been there, nor actually in Silicon Valley before 2005). But, thanks to Tim Bucher, I quickly made up for that handicap and i learned a LOT in one day.

In this video you can hear Tim speaking about wines, he is a master of the trade. Tim grew up in Healdsburg, in the heart of the wine country, and the funny story is that he owns 4 farms in the area, each one thanks to a company he worked for including WebTV, Next, Apple, and 3DO. Both Tim and I have that in common, when we do well in technology we buy farms. But Tim is way ahead of me because not only he buys them but he puts them to work with a rare combination of passion and skill. I met Tim through work. He is now building Zing this device that I am in love with that works so well with Fon.
