Foneras in Taiwan

CNS, our partner in Taiwan, did an event with a famous Game TV program. It was kind of a Cosplay party where people dressed as figures/characters of the famous game. For us it was a warm-up promotion for La Fonera+, since we will start selling it from in Taiwan in August.

As it is common in Taiwan and we had already in the past, there where 3 FON Girls in this event who introduce FON to the visitors and every visitor could vote for his (and why not her) dream FON girl. Who would you vote for?

  5. It’s great to have more and more foneras in the world !
I love fon, I love Wifi, but ther’s still a little bad thing in FON… Maybe you can think it’s not important, but FON is very close with the Open Source communities, and is still releasing demo files on the FON CD in the FLASH format…
FLASH is not free, FLASH is the evil !
In the name of the community, please, use open standards !

    Thanks,
    A french fonero

  6. Hi Nicolas,

Well, yes, flash is a proprietary format, we know it. But being committed to opensource development, does not mean we will never use proprietary things. As you know, we converted our workers to ubuntu and we promote that, but this doesn’t mean we can’t use other things. See, even the Coca-Cola is closed source ;)
No, talking serious, even YouTube is all in flash format and I know NO person that refuses to use youtube for this.
Still, we appreciate your comment. We will take it in account… who knows, maybe in a future release…
